First day in Colombia
Waking up again on the boat, I already knew for sure that this would be the last "good morning" on this sea trip. After packing my things, I said goodbye to Lora, took her contacts, and went with the captain to get the entry stamp. I want to note that the captain immediately and completely voluntarily helped carry my bag!
Sitting in the pleasant sea “office”, I checked my email and, seeing more than 20 letters, realized that my absence would continue to be noticed for a long time.
Having agreed with the captain to bring my passport to the hotel, I headed to my new place of residence.
This time everything was different: payment could be made upon checkout, the room was full of people, and there was only one outlet — and that one by someone else’s bed 0_о But there was a real small safe.
Not waiting for the captain — I went for a walk: got lost again, heard whistles and buzzing again, but found a dictionary :) The captain still didn’t arrive, so I urgently had to change my phone roaming plan to have the ability to call for personal matters (I was already quite nervous about where the captain had gone with my passport — just the thought of losing my most important document on the other side of the world made my blood run cold and covered me in cold sweat) — so two minutes of conversation with him cost me 150,000 Belarusian rubles, but he brought my passport within half an hour :)
I’ll have to promote my captain :)
The very first night on land I spent in the kitchen, sorting out a work backlog. There I also met and talked half of the night with Tom — a red-haired guy from Israel. He, by the way, offered me to try cocaine — and that’s how we started talking. He’s funny :) Interestingly, there are a lot of Jews here, and the girls are not friendly at all; they don’t even greet or talk to other girls. Very rude!
