Walk and acquaintance in Quito
I went for a walk around the city again today. Noted that there are a lot of wires. No less than a web or even a neural network of electricity. And it makes it very difficult to take pictures :)?
While I was walking and taking photos of everything in sight at a park, a young man approached me to make acquaintance. His name was Lenin! I busted out laughing, but he couldn’t understand why. By the way, he did not understand me at all, because he did not speak English, and I still had not spoken Spanish, so we communicated mainly by gestures. To be honest, it is quite unclear to me why would you try to get acquainted with a foreigner if you do not speak any foreign language. When I studied international relations, the desire to talk with a foreigner was primarily for the sake of practicing spoken English or French. But just for the sake of getting acquainted – no idea why.
But despite the lack of verbal understanding, we communicated and I had fun. To my surprise, he told almost everything about himself (to a stranger, a person he just met, that is me). He told me that he’s a DJ, where he lives, that he came to Quito to play at a party, that he has a daughter and a lot of other things that I didn’t understand) He even went for a walk with me. Yet it soon became uninteresting to me and I got rid of him by getting his phone number and exchanging emails.
Later, he will write me a couple of emails, in one of which he proposed to marry him :D ? Of course, I never saw him again, and after the proposal I stopped answering the emails. Some people are really weird :) ?
