Getting a Colombian visa and a family dinner
Early in the morning, Marcell woke me up to prepare for the interview. How I was preparing is unknown, but I still didn’t manage to do anything on time. Fortunately, the people at the Colombian embassy were very nice and gave me time to finish everything without even asking. After walking around the center three times, I finally was ready to pass the interview with all the necessary documents. Of course, my bank statement raised some concerns from the doctor of international science, as well as the fact that I didn’t have a U.S. visa but had a card. I had to improvise. And I got approved :)
In the evening, we had a real family dinner: Nino (Marcell’s neighbor from Colombia) cooked pasta with mushrooms – it was very delicious. After that, we talked about various topics – how to get to Colombia and the origins of different languages. Later, Marcell taught me Spanish, and I taught him Belarusian and Russian. It was fun and interesting :)
